Employers will need to report payments such as salaries and wages, pay as you go (PAYG) withholding and super information directly from their payroll software at the same time they pay their employees.
Employers with 19 or less employees will need to start Single Touch Payroll from 1st July 2019. Subject to legislation being passed in parliament.
Software providers are currently developing their software to offer Single Touch Payroll reporting.
